reference to yourself? Other people read a newspaper and then throw it out. You take it to pieces and keep it. What use is that? You come across some old article. You read– ah, they opened the bridge! So what? It’s been, it’s gone. It’s later, too late!

Unrepentant, incorrigible in this unswitchoffable propensity to interpret, Giulia continued to read on.
